Compliance Officer

Our current Compliance Officer will transition to a new role within GRIT, and we are looking for their successor. You will take over and run our compliance function, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.

The role covers the full scope of compliance work, including planning and executing the compliance monitoring program, compliance checks, regulatory monitoring, policy setting, AML, data protection, authority communication, and advisory to the Board, management, and staff.

Your predecessor will provide hands-on training and support during the transition, ensuring you are set up for success before assuming full responsibility.

The role is a full-time position at our main office located in Vaasa. The role is primarily office-based, with some flexibility for remote work. We also have an office in Helsinki.

We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

• Law degree from Finland or a comparable jurisdiction, or a higher degree in finance or economics combined with relevant experience
• Relevant experience in compliance, legal, risk, or audit functions, preferably from the financial sector
• Strong attention to detail and a structured and independent way of working, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work well across teams
• Excellent written and verbal language skills in Finnish or Swedish, and in English
• Knowledge of fund regulation is considered a clear advantage

A structured handover from the current Compliance Officer before you assume full responsibility. You will work in close collaboration with in-house legal counsel, risk management, senior management, and a team of skilled colleagues across our fund operations. You will also have the opportunity to be part of new business initiatives from an early stage as the company continues to develop. As we work closely with numerous cooperation partners in the financial market, the position provides an excellent platform to understand the dynamics of the entire industry.
